Sinegal Estate Winery is an ultra-premium winery in the St Helena AVA looking to take on 2 interns for the 2017 harvest. The successful candidates will work closely with winemaking and cellar staff, getting hands on experience in all aspects of the winemaking process. The duties for the role include (but are not limited to):
• Cleaning and sanitizing tanks and winery equipment
• Fruit sampling
• Barrel maintenance and stacking
• Sorting and crushing fruit
• Performing yeast inoculation and ferment additions
• Performing pumpovers and punchdowns
• Monitoring fermentations
• Draining, digging and pressing tanks
• Filling, racking and topping barrels
Ideal candidates must also have:
• A positive attitude to wet and dirty work, attention to detail, a love music and a great sense of humor
• Forklift experience
• Ability to work long hours and ability to lift weights over 50 lbs.
• Provide own housing, transportation and be able to legally work in the United States
• Strong communication and organization skills
