Our Client Winery is a family-owned and operated boutique production winery and tasting room and is looking for a full time tasting room manager that has a passion for the wine industry and is looking to work in a professional and friendly environment.
Manage tasting room staff and inventory, pour wine and interact with customers and grow and manage wine club.
Job Requirements:
-A minimum of two years management experience in wine or fast paced restaurant environment managing staff as well as owner/ operator expectations and direct to customer selling.
-21 years of age or older.
-Be in good physical shape and able to lift 40 pounds, must be able to stand for long periods of time.
-Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
-A must to be friendly, upbeat and interact with customers. We stress friendliness and an outgoing personality.
-Pours wine with confidence while discussing specifics about the wine and the process
-Must possess base of global, California and regional wine knowledge.
-Love of wine, willingness to taste, learn and expand knowledge. We also have a wine education portion to our management team if you show further interest.
Excellent management skills, able to maintain control of inventory, interact with tasting room staff and engage with customers.
Manage and grow wine club, including twice yearly shipments, events and communications.
Manage weddings and special events, including site visits and outside vendors.
Ability to travel to festivals and pourings.
Must be self directed and hard working, very organized, energetic and outgoing.
Must be familiar with Wine Ware Software for POS systems and Wine Club and PC Charge Pro for credit card processing. If similar--please let us know.
