Wine Sales Consultant for Southern California (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Winemonger Imports is an import and wholesale/distribution company based in Northern California specializing in Austrian, Italian, German and very select American and French wines. We are currently hiring wine sales reps for the following territories:

-Los Angeles
-Glendale, Pasadena and points East
-San Fernando and points North
-Orange County
-San Diego

There is the possibility of combining parts of these regions.

The right candidate will have the following qualifications:

*Pre-existing relationships with accounts in the territory being applied for.
*Goal orientated with proven track record of achieving sales and profit goals, and creating positive relationships.
*Ability to thrive in a highly competitive environment.
*Proven sales skills.
*Excellent organizational skills.
*Knowledge and passion for fine wine.
*Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
*Candidate MUST own a working computer.
*Persuasive communication skills as well as the ability to close deals.
* Able to comfortably lift and move 40lbs.
* Valid drivers license with a clean driving record and valid proof of automobile insurance.
*Foreign born or speaking candidates encouraged to apply! Especially if you are (or can speak the language of/from) Austrian, German or French.


Your responsibilities include:

*Managing sales in the market.
*Working in the market to build strong relationships with all accounts.
*Opening new accounts.
*Some nights/weekends visiting accounts to make placements.
*Conducting in-store tastings and wait staff trainings.

Salary is commission-based depending upon experience, with an auto and mobile phone allowance. We will consider candidates who currently represent another book. There are numerous existing accounts that you would take over.
