Luxury Sales Specialist (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Position Summary:

The Luxury Sales Specialist is a member of our outbound sales team, generating sales through our database of members and guests.  Daily tasks include but are not limited to presenting various sales campaigns via phone sales and email, and providing exceptional customer service, making reservations and handling other questions/issues as needed.  Strong work ethic, knowledge of multiple brands and properties, multi-tasking and attention to detail is necessary in this role.  The Luxury Sales Specialist is responsible for upholding the customer service standards held by the Boisset Collection, meeting goals determined by campaigns and other duties as assigned. The Luxury Sales Specialist displays professionalism, time management skills, and sales acumen.

Essential Functions:

The Luxury Sales Specialist should be prepared to:

    Assure customer service and satisfaction standards are met.

    Be a part of Luxury Sales team to meet daily/weekly/monthly sales goals and ensure that guest relationships are maintained according to company standards.

    Be able to make 60+ phone calls a day, selling various wine offers of Boisset Properties to Wine Club Members and Non- Club Members.

    Wine Knowledge of all Boisset Collection of Wineries wines, products, and services. Be able to give descriptions of the wines and services via phone and email.

    Ability to solve issues and problems quickly and efficiently to ensure guest satisfaction.

    Working at winery events as needed

    Assisting with Guest Services as needed

    Work with all Boisset Properties regarding promotions, events, and reservation details.

Additional Functions:

    Comply with all company safety policies, practices, and procedures. 

    Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and accuracy in duties.

    Participate in team efforts and perform additional duties as needed.

Necessary Skills: 

Language: Ability to speak and understand basic English required for all positions.

•  Ability to read and interpret documents such as memos, instructions, policies and manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to present information effectively to groups of customers and/or employees, and participate in one-on-one and small group situations.

Math:

•  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately, using standard American units of currency, weight, volume, and/or distance. Ability to recognize and correct inaccuracies when using calculator or computer spreadsheet.

Logic:

•  Ability to apply common sense understanding to multiple tasks, analyze and solve practical problems, prioritize and delegate tasks and projects, work both independently and as part of a team, and adapt to frequent changes in the work environment.

Computer:

•  Possess basic computer skills and familiarity with software programs such as word processing and spreadsheets.

Education, Experience, Certificates, Licenses:

•  Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a 4-year college or university; or 12-24 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•  Current, valid Driver’s License, insurable driving record, and proof of current automobile insurance required.

Physical Requirements

•  Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach, handle items, and work with the fingers. May require lifting and moving objects up to 20 lbs in weight. Clear vision, close and distant, and ability to adjust focus. Hearing adequate for telephone and office level conversation.

Work Environment:

    Well lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. Minimal noise level typical of business office: computers, printers, telephones, light traffic. May or may not include periods in autos, airplanes, and/or lodging facilities.

Schedule and Travel Requirements:

    Schedule: primarily Monday- Friday *8:30 am – 5 pm,  but may require weekends, periodic evenings, and/or periodic or seasonal overtime.

    May require travel to other Boisset locations in the Napa and Sonoma Valleys.
