Obsidian Ridge Wine Co. is seeking a General Manager to develop and oversee the next phase in our company’s growth. From less than 100 cases produced, Obsidian Ridge has grown at an average rate of more than 30% per year over the last 14 years. The company, which now produces more than 20,000 cases, seeks a dynamic, ambitious, visionary, and hard-working General Manager to lead its brands to the next stage and to double the company within the next 5 years. The GM will also manage our sister brand: Poseidon Vineyard. With a winery and tasting room in Sonoma, vineyards in Red Hills Lake County and Carneros Napa, and an administrative office in Oakland, the General Manager will ideally be located in Sonoma, Napa, or the North Coast.

•  Wine industry experience with prior general management, business unit management, or strong functional management required

Here is what you will do:

•  On a daily basis, inspire and guide the management team in all aspects of company operations
•  Oversee production activities (including custom crush) at our production facility on 8th Street East in Sonoma
•  Direct our hospitality efforts in the vineyards, winery, and tasting room at Cornerstone Sonoma
•  Manage our efforts with our 30+ distributors in the three-tier marketplace
•  Develop goals and report periodically to the Managing Partner and Board
•  Conduct regular employee reviews
•  Develop and manage overall budget and P&L
•  Engage deeply in industry communities both inside and outside wine country
