DESCRIPTION
The Front Desk Rep / Reservationist will act as an ambassador of Patz & Hall Winery providing exceptional customer service, offering a welcoming, memorable experience to business clients and guests. This is a full-time position, Thurs to Monday.
• Serve as an ambassador of the company, exemplifying excellence in customer service
• Manage multi-line switchboard, answering, screening and directing all winery calls
• Coordinate and confirm all incoming guest reservation requests, via phone and email in a gracious, timely manner
• Responsible for scheduling and choreography of appointments to ensure that the flow is appropriate for the space restrictions of the tasting room
• Welcome visitors and guests; direct guests appropriately for both scheduled and walk in appointments
• Provide facility information and general assistance to both guests and clients
• Prepare and distribute Visitor Center daily tour/tasting/event schedules to winery staff
• Build new and retain existing ambassadors through customer engagement, customer follow-up and by providing outstanding customer service with all customer interactions
• Facilitate accurate sales transactions using retail POS registers
• General administrative and tasting room support as needed
• Fast paced, customer facing work environment
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and non-traditional business hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time
• Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
• Light lifting possible
REQUIREMENT
3 years of luxury customer service experience recommended
• Excellent communication skills, customer service skills, and the ability to prioritize while handling multiple tasks is required
• Experience with a multi-line switchboard preferred
• Professional personal presentation
• Must be enthusiastic with excellent customer service skills, enjoy working with people and possess a friendly, outgoing, and positive personality
• Strong verbal/written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively in a polished, professional, and friendly manner
• Must have ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and adapt and show flexibility to changing job requirements
• Ability to function and communicate effectively under pressure
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office
• Must be punctual and reliable
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Knowledge of the Napa Valley wineries, restaurants and hotels a plus• History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
