Under general supervision, performs various work assignments to include: racking, pumping, clarifying and blending of juice and wine. The Cellar/Maintenance Worker will also be responsible for fabrication, performing PMs and maintenance, and electrical work on the varying equipment throughout the facility. This position may also assist in the training or direction of less skilled workers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ø Operates and cares for filters, pumps, presses, hoses and other cellar equipment
Ø Must be able to operate multiple aspects of crush work, including but not limited to operating bladder and screw presses, shaker table, and all other crush equipment
Ø Must be able to draw, plan and perform fabrication projects including mig, tig, and arc welding (includes sanitary welding)
Ø Performs maintenance on pumps, Glycol system, boilers, air compressors, crush equipment, and any other piece of equipment on the facility
Ø Must be able to perform minor carpentry, plumbing, and building repair tasks
Ø Must have knowledge in preventative/predictive maintenance systems and be able to follow a maintenance schedule

Performs maintenance on pumps, Glycol system, boilers, air compressors, crush equipment, Chiller equipment and any other piece of equipment on the facility
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ø Ability to operate various types of machinery to include, but not limited to, lift trucks, dump trucks, pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc. May include the operations of any or all processing equipment including refrigeration compressors, chillers and condensers
Ø Must be able to frequently lift and carry weights of up to 50 pounds at varying frequencies
Ø Possess the ability to work in a fast paced production environment
Ø Working environment is both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to related equipment and noise levels
Ø Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in the performance of various task in the production environment
Ø Must be able to repeatedly climb 20 feet tank stairs/vertical tank ladders, enter tanks through the manhole, proper sanitation techniques
QUALIFICATIONS
Ø Three to five years prior cellar activities experience at mid – large size winery
Ø Experience in all aspects of crush work, including previous barrel experience and directing less skilled crew members
Ø Ability to troubleshoot pump, panel, light, and electrical issues including VFDs, pressure transducers, and power supplies
Ø Able to read, write and speak English
Ø Successfully pass all testing requirements, background check, physical agility and drug test
Ø Comprehend and carry out written and verbal orders
Ø Work independently with minimal direct supervision
Ø Perform simple math calculations
Ø Ability to read gauges, tapes and meters accurately
Ø Support and model all company procedures and policies
