Iron Horse is one of Sonoma County's most beautiful, small, independent, estate, family-owned wineries.It is located in cool, foggy Green Valley. A pioneer in the Green Valley appellation within the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County, the Iron Horse family is building a legacy of prestige sparkling wines and estate bottled Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Job description:
We are seeking a self-motivated, energetic wine enthusiast with strong customer service and sales skills who displays warmth and graciousness to join our team. This is a seasonal position, guaranteed 3-5 days week, with the potential to become a full time position. Weekends a must. 

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

• Effectively use customer service and sales skills to meet and exceed Tasting Room sales objectives. 
• Greet and treat all guests with the highest level of hospitality, exceeding expectations at every point of contact. 
• Promote brand awareness by educating guests about wines, winemaking techniques and history.
• Effectively promote and successfully encourage guests to become part of the Iron Horse family by joining our Wine Club.
• Accurately handle routine purchasing transactions, e.g. cash register operation and closeout, assigning discounts, updating guest information.
• Restocking of wine.
• Working effectively with others through daily duties and operations.
• Assist with hospitality special events and special wine tastings.
• Perform basic Tasting Room duties, e.g. cleaning and setting up stemware.

Qualifications:
• Knowledge of and passion for fine wines and winemaking (Sparkling wine a plus).
• Demonstrated customer service and sales as outlined above.
• Sincere desire to provide a memorable wine tasting experience for our guests.
• Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time, and lift over 40 lbs.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to function in a fast paced environment with changing priorities with grace and enthusiasm.
• Ability to communicate with guests in confident, knowledgeable, warm and friendly manner.
