POSITION SUMMARY:
Vintage Wine Estates is a collection of vintner family-owned winery estates and brands based in Santa Rosa, California. Vintage Wine Estates is a dynamic, growing organization seeking a Planning & Scheduling Manager to join our team. We are seeking an experienced professional to support a growing organization. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining a complete and accurate bottling schedule, while working closely with various departments to optimize inventory investment and meet production requirements.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and maintains the Production Schedule by analyzing consumption data and predicting needs for finished goods and raw materials
- Ensures that the planned schedule is efficient and effective taking into consideration the complexities of production sequence, change over times, material and wine availability, and line capability constraints
- Creates, sequences and maintains work orders within the production window, including carry over work orders
- Coordinates with the demand planning team to determine allocation of constrained supply
- Evaluates inventory and demand requirements when making adjustments to the production schedule
- Works with procurement and wine making to confirm wine and material availability before making adjustments to the schedule
- Analyzes consumption data and forecast to come up with stocking levels for finished goods and raw materials
- Distributes updated shift and case schedules weekly and as schedule changes occur
- Identifies constraints in the supply chain
- Works closely with winemaking and operations to resolve scheduling issues caused by material shortages, wine delays, bottling disruptions, demand changes, or other impacts
- Continually seeks for new ways to improve supply chain efficiency
- All other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Computer proficiency in MRP/ERP systems, Excel, Word, Email and database applications
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in supply chain, finance, engineering or business administration
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in planning and/or scheduling
- ERP experience preferred
