CA Central Coast and Central Valley District Mgr. (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

CRU Wine Company in Madera, CA is seeking an experienced and dedicated team player with proven outside sales skills to handle existing on and off premise accounts primarily in California’s Central Coast region with additional responsibilities within the Central California (Fresno, etc.) area. This sales position will also be responsible for developing new on and off premise sales channels as the winery seeks to build the CRU brand and refine its channels of distribution. This a full-time, salaried position (residence in the Central Coast area preferred) that reports to the Vice President of Sales. There are incentives for achieving goals. Qualified candidates will have excellent sales and communications skills.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): 
•  Develop and implement a plan with the VP of Sales for the successful direct sale of CRU‘s wines to on and off premise accounts and actively identify and direct opportunities for growth on the Central Coast and in the Central Valley by maintaining a list of prospective customers and making regular sales calls
•  Exhibit discipline and resourcefulness to meet/exceed assigned monthly goals and placement objectives and stay on top of industry trends and developments
•  Conduct wait staff training seminars, wine dinners and in-store tastings on a monthly basis
•  Complete administrative tasks in an accurate and timely manner; report to the VP of Sales on a weekly basis

Necessary Qualifications:
•  Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3 years of experience in sales in wine industry; chain experience preferred
•  Passionate, motivated and trustworthy; must have the ability to work independently
•  Thorough understanding of 3 tier system
•  Knowledge of wine and the wine industry
•  Excellent verbal, communication and organizational skills
•  Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint
