Marketing Coordinator (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

This is a part-time and nonexempt opportunity and will be paid an hourly rate.  The position is not eligible for any Wine.com provided employee benefits except paid sick leave as mandate by the State of California and the City and County of San Francisco.  Weekly work hours will range from 20 to 40 hours per week based on department workload. The initial assignment will be for 90 days and there is a possibility to period to be extended.

Job Summary

The Marketing Coordinator will assist with the managing our partner, agency and affiliate relationships, be a member of our growing marketing team and gaining hands-on experience with digital campaigns, promotional planning, print collateral and event management.

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Request and manage creative assets and act as a liaison between the creative team, partners, and agencies.

  • Ensure creative requirements are delivered on time and according to specifications.

  • Update and communicate promotional calendar. 

  • Set up, test and troubleshoot promotional codes and campaign tracking URLs.

  • Update site content and promotional landing pages.

  • QA and test email proofs, partner campaigns.

  • Assist with planning and hosting partner events.

  • Other duties as needed.

Key Education and Work Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing with 1-2 years marketing or administrative experience preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Extreme attention to detail and focus on managing deadlines.

  • Strong understanding of consumer ecommerce and digital marketing.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task many projects simultaneously and work effectively within a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to learn and become proficient in in-house system tools.

  • Solid experience with Excel and HTML.

Essential Job functions

  • Must be physically and intellectually capable of operating a computer, printer, telephone, as well as other business equipment.  Also must be able to use a pen or pencil to write.

  • Must be able to speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that business may be conducted with individuals of a wide and varied range of education and capability.  This ability applies to the use of a pen or pencil regarding written communications as well.

  • Must be able to read with or without corrective lenses.

  • Must be able to work extended hours, days, weekends and holidays if necessary.

  • Other requirements include mental alertness, orientation to detail, strong reasoning and leadership skills, and the ability to supervise and be a team player.

  • Must be able to work constructively and harmoniously in an environment that may be stressful due to adversarial situations resulting from the performance of the department’s mission.

  • The primary work area consists of a clean, open and temperature-controlled and well lighted environment.
