CRM Manager/Analyst (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

We are seeking a results-oriented, analytical CRM Manager and Analyst to join our Marketing Team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving customer engagement and retention across multiple channels to build loyalty and lifetime value.  Highly analytical, you’ll be adept at transforming data into actionable insights.  This is a hands-on role that requires the ability to operate and excel at strategic as well as tactical levels.

The CRM Manager and Analyst will benchmark and optimize customer activity across various touchpoints in the lifecycle, particularly as it relates to marketing campaigns. These include email, social, display, push notifications, direct mail and package insert programs. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and significant experience with testing and best practices. This role will provide both day-to-day insights and big picture analysis to help optimize and improve customer retention.

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Develop strategies for increasing engagement, retention, and lifetime value of the Wine.com customer base.

  • Understand different segments of customers, their needs and behaviors, and devise multi-channel strategies and tactics for enhancing lifetime value.

  • Develop and execute A/B and multivariate tests on site, email and external campaigns.

  • Understand all sources of customer and campaign data and partner with engineering and external vendors to ensure data accuracy

  • Collaborate with colleagues in marketing, product management, and business analytics to design, deploy, and report on marketing campaigns across channels

  • Transform business questions into actionable analysis and strategic insights

  • Develop, publish, and present executive reporting and dashboards

  • Other duties as needed.

Key Education and Work Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with four (4) plus years of demonstrated and related experience

  • Experience working with ESP tools / platforms and vendor teams

  • Experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Omniture, Optimizely, and other marketing analytics tools. 

  • Experience with channel attribution specifically with Facebook and display campaigns is ideal.

  • Strategic and problem solving mindset, with a superb attention to detail

  • Results-driven with very strong ability to analyze quantitative data to determine program effectiveness, ROI and forecasting

  • Strong written, presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Strong team player with ability to develop effective working relationships across organization

  • Able to work successfully under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment

  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to accept feedback

Essential Job functions

  • Must be physically and intellectually capable of operating a computer, printer, telephone, as well as other business equipment.  Also must be able to use a pen or pencil to write.

  • Must be able to speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that business may be conducted with individuals of a wide and varied range of education and capability.  This ability applies to the use of a pen or pencil regarding written communications as well.

  • Must be able to read with or without corrective lenses.

  • Must be able to work extended hours, days, weekends and holidays if necessary.

  • The primary work area consists of a clean, open and temperature-controlled and well lighted environment.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position located in San Francisco, California. Typical workdays are Monday through Friday; 8 hours a day during typical office open hours of 7AM - 6PM PST.
