Regional Sales Manager- San Diego Market (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

FIJI/Justin/Landmark is currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead Southern California's San Diego market, channel and account strategy to support FIJI Water portfolio sales and profit initiatives. This position will play an integral role in creating process and business development strategies working to achieve the overall sales and revenue objective. This position reports to the Regional Director of Sales

Here's what you'll do:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

P&L management.

Responsible for total portfolio sales in Southern California for FIJI Water, JUSTIN and Landmark Wines, POM Wonderful juice, Wonderful Pistachio and Almonds.

Manages execution plan for total portfolio in retail channel account management, distributor management and work closely with Wonderful Company internal teams.

Drive improved execution of account programming by collaborating with appropriate Key Account Sales Team.

Ensures that shelving, pricing, merchandising, objectives are achieved consistently with Portfolio/Brand strategy, account objectives and efficient trade spending.

Drive quality business communication and ongoing cross- functional interaction with Key Account, Division Sales, Business Development, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Brand Marketing.

Leverage analytical resources to optimize distribution, monitor/manage optimal SKU/pricing strategies, and trade spend.

Take lead and initiative in understanding overall category and competitive trends.

Provide ad hoc analysis as needed by the Retail Sales Team and the Senior Leadership Team.

Develop overall account business management capabilities and skill set.

Must be available for business travel to include occasional nights and weekends.

Here's what you'll bring to the table:

10 plus years of food and/or beverage sales experience including distributor and account management.

Experience in P&L management to include financial/volume planning and forecasting.

BS/BA degree in business, finance, related field highly preferred.

A minimum of 5 years field management experience working with distributors in the beverage industry is preferred.

Must have minimum 5 year experience in managing growth plans for MULO accounts.

Experienced utilizing syndicated data to build fact based selling stores/presentations (i.e. Spectra, Nielsen, IRI, Mintel).

Previous experience managing multiple direct reports.

Must be a self-starter with the ability to successfully work and achieve goals with a minimum amount of direction and possess strong planning skills to manage the business across a region.

Must demonstrate the ability to take initiative, be proactive in identifying issues and recommend solutions, build relationships with customers and internal associates, and follow through on all aspects of the business.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret and articulate key conclusions.

Ability to present both internally (team, senior leadership) and externally (retailers, distributors).

Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize in a fast-paced environment.

Positive attitude with a team mentality.

Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs.

Customer service mindset to ensure internal/external partners receives quality sales support.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
