The DTC Sales Support Specialist is responsible for being a first point of contact for all guests, through the coordination of all reservations to the Estate by phone, email or in person. Greets guests upon arrival to the tasting room, assists in guest check in, host coordination and general arrival processes. Works with Tasting Room Coordinator and Tasting Room Associates on essential details of patrons in the tasting room and assists with daily administration functions of the wine club.
This is a full-time position at Spring Mountain Vineyard in St Helena, CA.
Role/Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of and the direct supervision of the Director of DTC Sales and Operations, the DTC Support Specialist is responsible for the following:
• Buffing glassware, setting up and breaking down tasting venues.
• Stocking wine, packing wine club shipments and assisting sales staff with order fulfillment.
• Greeting guests and confirming appointment status, working closely with reservation/calendar system, escorting guests to appropriate Wine Educator, tasting venues and/or general sitting area.
• Be familiar with and able to describe wine tasting options to guests.
• May also assist Wine Educator with the sale of wine or non-wine products in the Tasting Room.
• Will also perform related clerical work; including processing orders for Tasting Room Staff.
• Will also perform daily admin tasks related to wine club functionalities.
Qualifications:
• Enthusiasm, focus and positive outlook.
• Must have excellent customer service and telephone skills.
• Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to follow through on projects with
minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Ecellar a plus.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays and occasional evenings.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift at least 45 pounds repeatedly (case of wine).
• Must be over 21.
