Director of Marketing (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

This is a full time salary position (Tuesday – Saturday, or other days by arrangement) split between marketing responsibility and tasting room support: 
a. 32 hours per week, working closely with the management team to drive, develop, and execute direct-to-consumer sales strategies by successfully implementing and coordinating winery’s marketing and brand strategy. 
b. 8 hours on Saturday in tasting room.


Director of Marketing Roles and Responsibilities

- Responsible for the development, implementation, and coordination of all brand marketing, strategy, allocation program communication, and retention strategies.
- Develop strategies for customer retention and off-site direct-to-consumer sales. 
- Develop and manage marketing plans and budgets to create annual event calendar, wine club shipments, release emails, and other promotional events.
- Create content and marketing materials, ensuring that all messaging is consistent with established branding objectives and policies across all communication platforms.
-Assist with company website updates.
- Develop and maintain social media strategy and implementation. 
- Communicate with marketing partners (neighbor wineries, hotels, tour companies, etc.) and explore new marketing proposals.
-Assist in processing spring and fall wine club shipments.
-Manage and attend special events at the winery and off-site events, as required.
-Assist in tasting room when needed.
-Assist winemaker in developing label copy, future packaging design, and tasting notes.
-Other duties as assigned.


Director of Marketing Qualifications

- Two or more years of sales, wine, and marketing experience.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and produce desired sales results, meet deadlines, and stay on top of deliverables.
- Ability to effectively communicate marketing information, policies, and procedures.
-Proficient with Word, Excel, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, and previous experience with winery POS software. Experience with Vin 65 a plus. 
-Experience with multiple social media platforms.
-Background in wine education and a successful track record of wine sales, brand strategy, and wine marketing. 
-Be a high-energy team player who enjoys being part of a growing and successful family business. 
-Great attitude, outgoing personality, team player, and open to new ideas are mandatory.
-Bachelor's degree preferred.


Salary will be commensurate with experience plus medical, vision, and 401k benefits. Only local candidates with previous winery experience will be considered.
