 We are seeking a multi talented Production Manager to support the company in all aspects of production, operations and mechanical efficiency.   This unique opportunity allows you to use your project management, mechanical and production skills to improve the efficiency of this growing company.  You will be responsible for the tactical planning and execution of efficiency improvements, policies and procedures development, maintenance repair and prevention, purchasing of equipment and raw materials, safety compliance & training, conducting efficiency and cost analysis and implementing changes rapidly and effectively.

 Summary of Duties Include:

 ·      Develop, review and assess production operation on a continual basis to improve efficiency and wine quality.

 ·      Manage and direct bottling operation, specialty packaging, packaging procurement, inventory management, planning and scheduling.

 ·      Negotiate production materials and equipment with vendors, suppliers and independent contractors to ensure best prices, quality work and efficiency.

 ·      Identify capacity limitations in Cellar equipment and production facilities.

 ·      Develop new cellar practices and procedures to improve efficiency. Suggest alternative techniques to existing work practices to accomplish tasks more effectively and efficiently while remaining within winemaking protocol.

 ·      Oversee daily operations of bottling line, implementing company standards for quality and daily line productivity.

 ·      Oversee the installation of new and existing production equipment and develop procedures as required to train employees.

       Ensure equipment is maintained in good working condition. Improve, prevent and resolve machinery problems to ensure wine quality and drive efficiency as soon as discovered.

 ·      Establish and maintain daily, monthly and annual production schedules, maintenance records and inventory records of equipment.

·      Plan and oversee staffing scheduling, training, advancement, safety, evaluation and work of production employees in all activities of winemaking.

 

Qualifications:

 ·      Bachelors of Science in Engineering, Operations or related field to       Production Management

·      Ten years of experience of managing winery production include knowledge of bottling, cellar and mechanical operations.

·      Knowledge of major aspects of wine production, supervision, organization, and scheduling of personnel, equipment, and safety regulations.

·      Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form.  Spanish abilities are a plus.

·      Ability to effectively present recommendations through logical and analytical analysis. 

·      Ability to perform simple and complex mathematical conversions. 

·      Strong interpersonal and team building skills.

·      Self-motivated, innovative and resourceful problem-solver.

·      Demonstrate the ability to be self-directed, and effectively organize and manage complex tasks in a fast-paced environment.  

·      Great attention to detail.

·      Must be capable of working within constraints of deadlines. 

·      Ability to develop and use spreadsheets and databases.

·      Technology savvy, working knowledge of MS Office and PowerPoint. Access is a plus.
