The Wine Club Manager performs a wide variety of administrative, analytical and sales duties to facilitate the effective performance of the Wine Club and Direct to Consumer departments. This position also performs service and sales duties for inbound and outbound telephone and email sales.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Responsible for sales and service functions to increase Wine Club performance
• Ensures accuracy of reporting, customer information, returns and monthly Wine Club shipments
• Conduct departmental training with new Wine Club Associates
• Maintains Wine Club memberships, promotions and shipments
• Confirm and communicate shipping schedules, compliance and state requirements
• Process Wine Club returns, reroutes and track shipments at customer requests
• Coordinate with other departments as needed for Wine Club operations and functions
• Participate at Wine Club events by greeting, pouring and selling to Wine Club members
• Represent the company and support other teams at various events
• Make sales through inbound calls and emails
• Take reservations for tastings and other programs
• Reach out to businesses and individuals to offer new and existing products, promotions and events
• Focus on retention of Wine Club members
QUALIFICATIONS
• Strong sales skills and event planning experience
• Possess a courteous, professional attitude
• Knowledge of wine and the wine industry
• Excellent guest management skills
• Possess a professional/business wardrobe
• Previous wine club management experience
• Experience with POS software, AMS preferable
• Passion for guest service, membership and retail sales
• Bachelor’s Degree required
