PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Review, code and process accounts payable/general vendor invoices.
• Identify and analyze variances or errors in accounts payable and general ledger.
• Reconcile credit card statement.
• Maintain certificates of insurance for all vendors.
• Maintain W-9 records and issue 1099’s at year-end.
• Correspond as needed with vendors.
• Disburse, maintain and reconcile petty cash.
• Prepare EDD notices on contractors.
• Maintain fixed asset files.
• Calculate time cards and sales commissions.
• Assist with GL analysis and month-end close.
• Process payroll, workers compensation claims and benefit administration in the absence of supervisor.
• Review and enter budget figures.
• Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks that may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Degree in accounting.
• 3 years winery accounting experience.
• Strong analytical skills, problem resolution, and a good understanding of accounting functions in accordance with GAAP.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and project management skills.
• Sharp attention to detail with excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work in a team environment as well as operate independently.
• Ability to work with confidential information.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
PREFERRED:
• Experience with AMS
• Knowledge of Concur and Workforce a plus
