The Wine Business Institute (WBI) at Sonoma State University is looking for an industry professional with a successful record of accomplishment in wine business finance and general management, interested in higher education to develop and deliver an online course in the financial aspects of running a wine business. The instructor must commit to delivering an 8 week online course (plus being available for the two weeks prior to the course start date) once per year, time of year TBD, likely late spring or summer. An ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years wine industry experience in a general manager or executive leadership position.
This course will be a NEW Advanced level course in the Online Certificate in Wine Business Management and will focus on the financial aspects of running a wine business. The instructor will be responsible for developing specific course curriculum to deliver a pre-set list of learning outcomes for the program as a whole. The instructor will have instructional design support from curriculum and continuing education professionals as well as access to other campus resources needed for curriculum development.
