Wine retailer (K&L Wine Merchants - www.KLWines.com) is looking for enthusiastic wine sales professionals for our Redwood City location. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone serious about sales and customer service within an enjoyable industry!
General Responsibilities:
• Provide superior customer service and informed sales recommendations to the public, both in-store and via telephone
• Working with Store Managers and our warehouse team, ensure the sales floor is clean, organized and fully stocked with product
• Accurately process all types of retail transactions:
(General Sales, Pre-Arrival Orders, Wine Club Enrollments,Shipping Orders, Customer Profile Updates)
• Perform store opening and closing procedures
• Assist customers with wine-locker access
• Retrieve customer will-calls
• Attend staff education sessions and on/offsite events as requested
Qualifications:
At least 1-3 years experience in wine industry highly desired.
Demonstrated ability to interact well with customers, and maintain strong customer relationships. Must be a self-starter, as well as a strong team player. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Must be able to lift and carry 40lbs on a regular basis. Must be able to stand and walk around the store and warehouse 7-8 hours each day. Work schedule will include weekends!
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Windows, as well as Word and Excel. Proficient with web browser and email applications.
Advantage will be given to people with a background in retail and with computer skills. Position is 40 hours per week, Wed/Thurs off.
