Adelaida Vineyards & Winery has an immediate opening for Tasting Room Manager. We seek an experienced, enthusiastic and driven individual to provide leadership, support and training to our team of hospitality representatives. This position will be an integral part of our management team and will be expected to be a part of our continued success and growth. The Tasting Room Manager will provide day-to day oversight of tasting room operations, including customer service, sales, merchandising, and staffing. The role is expected to implement hospitality experiences that promote and increase visitation to Adelaida’s tasting room and convert customers to repeat buyers, brand promoters and/or wine club members.

Adelaida Vineyards & Winery, one of the oldest wineries in Paso Robles, is a well-established, legacy operation with more than 160 acres of premium vineyards on multiple high elevation sites. We seek a Tasting Room Manager who wishes to become an integral part of an experienced and innovative team.
Position:
This key role is a management level position with responsibilities that include, but are not necessarily limited to:
• Oversee hiring, training, scheduling, supervision, retention, and evaluation of tasting room staff
• Deliver exceptional customer service, rapidly resolve customer services issues and motivate others to do the same
• Develop, implement and lead the staff in creating and executing programs to increase retail sales and public awareness (includes, but not limited to wine tastings, experiences, tours and club lounge service)
• Assist with both onsite and offsite events
• Work in conjunction with Sales & Marketing team to develop and promote Adelaida’s image and products
• Execute strategies and meet goals set forth by Director of Sales
• Understand POS functionality and train staff on proper usage (Vin65 experience is preferred)
• Educate self and staff regarding wines, varietals, vintages, winemaking style, vineyards, history, selling techniques, etc.
• Continually develop and maintain a professional, customer service oriented team, focused on brand awareness, retail sales, and wine club memberships
• Conduct regular staff meetings and trainings
• Promote the brand and its products within the local community and key winery organizations
• Oversee tasting room inventory and stocking of wine, non-wine merchandise, sales/POS materials, and forms
• Ensure the tasting room grounds/patio area is clean and welcoming
• Establish and enforce tasting room policies and procedures
• Adhere to safety standards with Company HSE policies
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should meet many, if not all, of these requirements:
• Three or more years prior management experience in wine, beverage or hospitality industry
• A proven ability to be an effective, innovative and enthusiastic leader dedicated to success
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of wines and wine production
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Available to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• CPR and Basic First Aid Certification a plus
