About The Role
Under the direction of the Vineyard Manager, you will act as a Manager's Assistant in the absence of and or at the request of the Vineyard Manager assuring vineyard employee safety and efficiency in work practices. This position will also assist the Vineyard Manager with irrigation, fertilization, frost protection, minor equipment repairs, equipment operations and development and implementation of safety training and HSE.
About You
The successful candidate may possess the following:
- Agricultural degree and/or minimum of 3 years' experience managing viticultural/agricultural enterprises
- Communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills and conversational Spanish an advantage
- Familiarity with drip and overhead irrigation systems: pesticides and calibrations; sustainable vineyard practices; agricultural safety, equipment and practices
- You will ensure the day-to-day vineyard operations are completed safely, within allocated timeframes and budget.
