Delicato Family Vineyards is looking for a self-motivated and hardworking individual to work at multiple facilities in the North Coast, mainly Napa and Sonoma Counties, under general direction of the Winemaker.

Intern will assist the production and winemaking staff with all harvest-related activities. Intern will be based in Napa but may also be required to work offsite in Sonoma County a few days per week.
Common Intern Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Maintain Harvest Plan spreadsheet
- Assist with harvest scheduling and logistics
- Track ingredient inventories, order harvest ingredients
- Monitor quality of incoming fruit, fermenting wines by sensory evaluation and data tracking, monitor fermenter Brix and Temp readings, record and communicate information to Winemaker
- Communicate DFV Winemaking plans, action items to staff at offsite winemaking facilities
- Other data management and distribution
- Vineyard site visits to monitor grape development
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Viticulture, Enology, Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or other science related field. Wine industry harvest experience preferred (vineyard, cellar or lab). Strong organizational skills, strong reading, writing, communication and math skills. Experience with Microsoft Office, proficiency in Excel required. Ability to work overtime and weekends. Team player and able to work with others. Must be able to work rapidly and accurately, performing multiple tasks simultaneously. Chemistry experience in the wine industry is a plus.
