Position Summary:  This position solves organizational information problems and inefficiencies by analyzing requirements; designing computer programs; recommending system controls and protocols.  Requires strong business skills and responsible for reviewing, analyzing and occasionally modifying systems including encoding, testing, debugging, configuring and installing to support application systems.

The position works with users and Business Relationship Managers to identify current operating procedures and to clarify future program objectives.  This person will be responsible for assisting with the design, testing, roll out and documenting the custom configuration of applications and operating procedures.  This person will also participate during the implementation of the application systems required to fulfill the organization’s Information Solutions Plan.

Must have a working knowledge of relational databases, web and client-server concepts, and be able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.  The ideal candidate must have SharePoint AND/OR SAP ECC experience.

Duties/Essential Job Functions:

  • Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
  • Uses SharePoint2013 to facilitate and improve business processes, knowledge share and promote Information Solutions achievements.
  • Designs and publishes reports as requested from Business Relationship Managers.
  • Assists in designing new computer programs by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.
  • Assist Programmers and Business Relationship Managers by participating in application testing procedures.  Provide recommendations on programming reworks and final implementations.
  • Improves systems by studying current practices; designing modifications.
  • Assist network administrator with application installation, upgrades and testing.
  • Assists the Support Technicians with supporting the business processes through knowledge sharing and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements.
  • Provide minor programming for some in-house IS projects.
  • Reports project progress to Business Relationship Managers as activities are completed; problems are resolved; actions are recommended.
  • Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures.
  • Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; providing help desk support; training users. Recommends controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.
  • Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Position Requirements:

Education:  High school diploma and Degree in Business Management/Information Systems or related field.

Experience:  3 – 5 yrs. experience in Business IT environment, computer course work or equivalent on-the-job training.  SQL, Software Design & Documentation, SDLC, Analyzing Information, Teamwork, Software Maintenance & Upgrades, Written Communication, Promoting Process Improvement.  Extensive knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, and enterprise software applications.  Technical experience with systems networking, databases, Web development, and user support.  Solid background in Data Base design theories. Background in Microsoft .NET, Visual Basic, Excel, Word, Outlook and HTML. Good working knowledge skills with Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project. SAP ECC 6.0 experience is a plus.  SharePoint2013 experience a plus.  Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes.

Knowledge/Qualifications:  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills.  Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.  Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressure on-call environment with changing priorities. Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours.
