Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative
Report to Office Manager
Engage in inside sales activities to assigned customers selling products and lab services to the beverage industry which includes wineries, breweries, distilleries, and juice processors. Provide excellent customer service through personable service, prompt and accurate processing of orders, appropriate understanding and knowledge of products promoted and sold, and effective teamwork with other departments and locations to meet customer needs.
General Responsibilities:
- Generate revenue by promoting Gusmer products and lab services by either inbound or outbound telephone calls or other venues/social media outlets. Initiate sales calls to existing customers to assess the need for replenishing inventories. Call on and create customers or leads to cultivate new business.
- Become proficient in Gusmer product lines and communicate product merits to customers.
- Establish and maintain positive customer relations by providing personable service, responding to customer requests for information such as lead times in a timely manner, and relaying pertinent order information to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate efforts with other departments and locations to provide products and services to customers in an accurate and timely manner.
- Support and assist the sales staff by responding to requests in a reliable manner and relaying pertinent information throughout the order cycle.
- Process orders, sample requests, and invoices within established guidelines.
- Coordinate shipments and provide proper documentation for domestic and export shipments.
- Backup shipping/receiving when needed.
- Assist and participate with other sales, marketing, and administrative efforts as required.
Qualifications/Experience/Requirements/Skills:
- Associates Degree in wine making or wine production experience
- Must have a passion for wine
- 2+ years inside sales experience
- 2+ years customer service experience
- Strong communication and people skills
- Ability to work with diverse customers
- Ability to multi-task and work in an organized manner
- Self-motivated and ability to work without direct supervision
- Computer proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, and other basic business programs.
