Caldwell Vineyard is hiring cellar interns for the 2017 harvest to perform all aspects of winery work, including but not limited to:
- grape receiving
- fruit sorting
- operation of crush equipment
- pumpovers and punchdowns
- racking
- barrel fermentations
- cleaning and maintaining cellar and harvest equipment
Qualifications
- work experience in a premium winery
- forklift experience preferred
- excellent organization and communication skills
- must be able to work irregular shifts, overtime and weekends
- must be able to safely handle cellar chemicals and equipment
- must work safely and accurately, with precision and attention to detail
- must be able to lift 50 lbs, climb stairs and ladders, and work on your feet for extended periods of time
- ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, complete work independently and also function as an active team member
- valid drivers license and clean driving record
Positions start mid to late August and will run until late November or early December depending on timing of harvest.
