POSITION PURPOSE:

Under little or no supervision and acting on own initiative, the Digital Media Manager is responsible for developing, owning and executing the social media and digital strategies for many of the key brands in Delicato’s National portfolio. This position will also help manage areas such as web site development and management, as well as managing outside vendors and agencies with regard to social and digital initiatives.

  ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Develops and executes social media campaigns that tie directly into overall brand plans and goals. Owns campaigns from beginning to end, including planning, writing, scheduling and analyzing.

• Works closely with our Events Manager to increase social presence at events and increase greater awareness in local regions.

• Works with multiple stakeholders, including brand team, creative team, sales team, events manager, and others in order to understand brands and develop campaigns that drive results in each of these areas.

• Works collaboratively across departments to build the social media infrastructure for achieving the goal of being a leader and innovator in the wine industry.

• Tracks, measures and analyzes social media campaign performance. Develops timely performance reports.

• Monitors competitive social media coverage and activity. Develops competitive reports for each brand.

• Works in conjunction with our internal Compliance department to develop rules and guidelines for social activity that complies with federal regulations.

• Keeps their finger on the pulse of our consumers and the wine industry. Quickly reacts to or preempt trends in the industry or pop culture in general.

  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field.

• 3 – 5 relevant experience working in a social media and/or marketing environment.

  Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• In depth knowledge of all social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Vine, etc.) Blogging and other writing content as needed.

• Previous experience developing impactful social media campaigns and contests, as well growing consumer engagement and followers in these channels.

• Experience managing outside agencies for initiatives such as social media campaigns, web site development/management, social media monitoring, etc.

• Collaborative aptitude to work with various departments and personalities and develop projects that achieve the best possible result given all the variables.

• Experience with social media monitoring and management tools such as Sysomos, Radian6, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Vintank, etc.

• Strong sense of story-telling and brand development. Ability to understand various consumers and how to construct content to reach them and engage with them.

• Wine knowledge a plus.

• Able to lift wine cases, etc.
