POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Consumer Sales Specialist (CRM) is responsible for the deployment of omnichannel campaigns, including email marketing and web sales promotions for all Crimson Wine Group brands, as well as maintaining each brand’s product placement and shopping cart.  In addition, this position ensures accurate and timely order delivery and professional customer service. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Email Marketing / CRM

  • Design and launch regularly scheduled email communication and sales promotions, utilizing a software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider (Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software for all CWG brands.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of customer demographics and purchase behavior to inform our segmentation for upcoming campaigns.  Perform post-mortem analysis on each, recording all performance metrics.

Ecommerce

  • Maintain all CWG product placement and campaign setup in online stores, ensuring timely updates and accurate pricing and copy.
  • Assist Director of Consumer Sales (CRM) with shopping cart design and platform upgrades and updates.
  • Implementation and maintenance of 3rd party sales channels.  

 Logistics and Customer Service

  • Serve as primary customer contact for issues with online purchasing and fulfillment of orders.
  • Work closely with our compliance department, fulfillment house and internal staff to manage campaign inventory, SKU/package setup and compliance.
  • Process corporate, multibrand and employee sales and orders.

 EDUCATION TRAINING AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.), the equivalent of five years related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of wine and DTC (Direct to Consumer) sales practices.
  • Experience with customer management systems (CMS) at an intermediate level. Experience with ecommerce cart management a plus (Vin65 preferred).
  • Familiarity with compliance guidelines and the Ship Compliance portal preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of email marketing best practices and experience with email marketing software. Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (formerly ExactTarget) is a plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of html/css and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustration, Dreamweaver).
  • Solid understanding of the current state of the web, ecommerce, social networking and communication methods that our target consumers utilize.
  • Familiarity with the typical customer lifecycle and experience with engagement and retention of customers via email, the web, direct mail and loyalty programs.
  • Skill to manage multiple projects and sales initiatives over various computing and web-based platforms.
  • Ability to interact comfortably with the public via phone, email and other communication methods in an efficient, positive and brand-appropriate manner.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards. 
  • Acute attention to detail, particularly in written communication. Must have a strong command of the English language.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds. 
  • Ability to ‘think outside the box’ and challenge the status quo with a focus on constant improvement.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Windows (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel) is required.
  • Able to lift and carry 40lbs for short periods.
