About the Role

Cellar Technician reports to the Assistant Winemaker and works in a team that covers three shifts to support the daily operation of a high volume bottling center and to ensure smooth, safe and effective cellar operations of wine delivery from trucks to tanks and equipment including valves, pressure pumps and wine flow to bottling lines. This role is based out of NBC (Napa Bottling Center) and will also work with the wider NBC operations team.

About you

You have experience either from a winery, brewery or juice bottling company. Able to work autonomously in a team environment, self-managed and organized. Comfortable using touch screen systems and knowledge of line and tank sanitation with a willingness to learn. You have a flexible approach to handling simultaneous and repetitive tasks while always maintaining a safe and clean work environment. 

Requirements

• Min. 1 year experience in winery, brewery or juice bottling company

• Will consider 1 year harvest experience or a couple harvest seasons

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (speaking, reading and writing)

• Comfortable using touch screen systems and computer proficient 

• Timely and correct administration of paperwork and maintaining logs

• Knowledge of line and tank equipment: lines, valves, pumps, etc

• Unloading/dispensing wine from trucks to tanks and dispatching to the bottling lines

• Problem solving skills

• General house keeping

• Ability and willingness to work overtime when required

• Self-motivated with a positive and professional work ethic
