Delicato Family Vineyards has an immediate career opportunity for a dynamic, self-motivated Tasting Room Attendant in our Manteca location.

Position Summary:
Taking care of our customers is our top priority and as a Tasting Room Attendant, you will promote the sale of wine and non-wine products sold in the Tasting Room, while educating our customers on the various techniques of the wine making process. This is a multi-faceted position that requires creativity, vision, high energy level, excellent communication skills, building relationships with customers and staff, and the eagerness to take the initiative to provide excellent hospitality.
Duties / Essential Functions:
- Assists customers in wine selections
- Greets customers and pours wines for tasting according to procedure
- Describes wines, winemaking techniques, winery history, and provides general tourist information
- Handles routine purchasing transactions
- Provides customer service
- Prepares gift packs for tasting room and custom orders
- Stocks shelves, prices items and sets up displays
- Moves and arranges tasting room related inventory
- Assists in orders for banquets, weddings and other various events. Helps coordinate types of wine and quantities
- Assists customers with custom label orders
- Cleans displays
Position Requirements: Must be 21 years of age and able to work weekends
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience: Six or more month’s customer service and cash register experience
Knowledge: Previous knowledge of wines.Strong communication skills
