Position Summary:

The BOM /  Material Master Coordinator maintains all bill of materials (BOM) and master data for all material creation and updates.  This position will develop and maintain all necessary documentation relevant to position and procedural accountability.  This position is also responsible for working with the appropriate functions to collect the right BOM information to drive SAP BOM accuracy at or above 99.75%.   This position will also support the item creation process.  

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all BOM creation in support of New Products Development programs
  • In coordination with Sourcing and Supply and New Products Development, will own BOM updating and maintenance in regards to new product launches, product changes, product refreshes, and ongoing roll-overs
  • Responsible for any new BOM items added, removed, or changed related to vintage crossover
  • Collaborate with Winemaking in BOM wine program specification and wine consumption factors
  • Monitor pallet patterns, label heights, and shipping codes for accuracy on the Item Master; such as OCC, ITF, SCC
  • Cross functional collaboration and process development with Information Solutions in developing master data management processes in the effort to continuously improve our master data managing processes
  • Hold all planning responsibility associated with the new Finished Goods Item SAP set-up within the New Product Development Product specification process
  • Develop and own all SAP master data weekly check processes check processes for the planning team
  • Provide master data guidance and direction to the planning team
  • Enter and maintain relevant BOM work instructions and descriptions
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining all BOM’s for Line 5 production and all other special programs/projects
  • Serve as primary contact for all BOM changes within the materials department; responsible for communicating, tracking, and implementing all BOM changes
  • Ensure BOM accuracy of 99.75%
  • Maintain accurate waste consumption factors within the BOM material consumptions to accurately
  • Interface with other functional areas such as purchasing, warehouse, production control, compliance, and other departments in order to develop and initiate BOM in the SAP system
  • Perform back-up coverage responsibilities associated with master data management
  • Own the material set-up process including SAP set-up, New Product Development collaboration, product specification ownership, and BOM creation and updating
  • Maintain critical SAP master data elements as defined by the master data management processes
  • Master Data management process development in collaboration with Information Solutions BPM
  • Participates in all key team cadence activities
  • Maintains necessary files and documentation to perform and transition BOM management responsibilities
  • Participate in team LEAN activities ​ ​

​ Position Requirements:

Education:

College degree preferred.  High school diploma required.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years related experience. 3+ years of direct or related experience in supply chain systems and master data management.

Knowledge:

Must be detail oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to problem solve. Must possess strong analytical skills. Requires knowledge of SAP/EEC, MRP, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project.
