Human Resources Business Partner (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Keeping this in mind, the HR Business Partner works as a strategic partner aligning business objectives with employees and management teams for various locations.  This position serves as a partner with management to develop creative solutions to business and Human Resource related issues.  This position is also responsible to assist management to adhere to and comply with state and federal employment regulations, to drive core values aligning our culture, and to build partnerships that deliver value added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.  This position works with both union and non-union environments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Must have a generalist understanding of the various aspects of Human Resources.
• Must be able to interact with management personnel, and employees at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrate ability to act as a business partner, develop creative solutions and drive results.
• Administers various human resources plans and procedures for company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; assists in preparation and maintenance of employee handbook, policies and procedures; extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.   
• Understands union contract administration, preparation for and assists with negotiating union contracts; resolution of union grievance.     
• Considerable skill in interviewing techniques; must acquire a basic understanding of the Company's organizational structure
• Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
• Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars; conducts HR related training.
• Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
• Understands the Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database; establishes metrics for HR analytics

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Primary work activities are within an office and manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to travel.
• Must be able to climb stairs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration, effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to drive with reliable transportation.
• A bachelor’s degree and five (5) to seven (7) years of Human Resources experience.
• Professional in Human Resources, SHRM certification preferred.
