As our Wine Program Associate, you'll be responsible for facilitating all details of packaging between Winc’s bottling facilities and dry good suppliers while driving innovation for all our packaging, as well as generally assisting our Wine Team in the execution of our program. In this role, you’ll build vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, insure all dry goods are received on time for bottling, as well as administrative work and a little bit of analytics!
What You'll Do...
- Oversee all packaging sourcing and purchasing for Winc’s wine program
- Drive innovation across our wine program and fearlessly tackle new projects including new packaging, emerging trends in the industry, and researching the competitive landscape
- Test new packaging to make sure it meets quality standards for bottling and shipping
- Work closely with our Operations & Logistics team on storage and transportation of dry goods
- Establish relationships with new and existing suppliers and negotiate pricing
- Send quarterly projections to suppliers
- Travel within California for bottlings and to meet with suppliers as needed (usually once a month or so)
- Coordinating wine samples and organizing tastings for the wine team
- Coordinate suppliers, vendors, and internal teams for all general administrative needs of the Wine Program
- Be responsible for proactively and correctly entering data into our Product Lifecycle Management software
- Answer general product questions for various teams within the company using our winemaking software
- Analyze data to provide accurate reporting on inventory and production numbers
- Perform detailed cost and pricing analysis of upcoming projects
What You Bring...
- A few years of professional work experience
- Experience negotiating pricing and maintaining vendor relationships
- A knack for thinking outside the box when it comes to packaging (pun totally intended) and a keen eye for industry trends
- Hopefully wine industry experience, but if not, then some serious passion and excitement for it!
- A borderline obsessive approach to staying organized and on top of multiple ongoing projects
