Mettler Family Vineyards is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our tasting room team. Currently we have openings for Part Time Tasting Room Associates: weekends and holidays are required.
At Mettler Family Vineyards we strive to promote a welcoming environment, increase wine sales and wine club membership, share winery history and educate customers on wine production.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Provide guests with an outstanding and friendly experience through continuous customer care and interaction.
-Share the Mettler Family Vineyards history and wines.
-Anticipate customer needs.
-Develop ongoing relationships with guests to encourage repeat business.
-Pour and describe wines and winemaking techniques.
-Promote wine club membership.
-Handle routine retail transactions, including operating registers/accounting for daily sales.
-Packaging wine for guests.
-Restocking all inventory items, marketing materials, and packaging.
-Cleaning duties including the breaking down of cardboard boxes, emptying trash, and so forth.
-Answering phones.
-Processing phone, website, and walk-in orders.
-Learn about other local wineries and wines.
-Assist in providing a safe and secure environment.
-Maintain professional dress code.
Qualification Requirements:
-Must be at least 21 years of age.
-Able to read, write, and speak English: bilingual is a plus.
-Knowledge of wine and wine production.
-Must be Enthusiastic, Energetic and Enjoy interacting and conversing with the public.
-Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
-Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills required.
-Ability to lift heavy items (45-55 lbs) on a repeated basis.
-Able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Computer literate; Microsoft programs.
-Prior experience in customer service and sales.
-Able to work well individually and also in a group environment.
-Must be available to work Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and other days as needed.
-Must attend monthly staff meetings.
