JOB SUMMARY
This is an exciting new role to get in on the ‘ground-floor’ to help build and grow The Wine Group’s newest business unit, The ACME Wine Movers. Formed in 2012, ACME is focused upon growing TWG’s market share and profitability in the on-premise channel for brands such as Cupcake, Concannon, Save Me, San Francisco, Trapiche and others. In this challenging and dynamic role, you will interface with fellow marketing Brand Managers as well as sales. This is the perfect role for someone who embraces the idea of building a new division, and quickly putting your mark on the business; with the support of the world’s 2nd largest privately held wine company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Create sales materials to support our brands in the on-premise channel.
Communicate marketing programs to field through bi-monthly newsletter and other formats as directed by Sr Marketing Director.
Primary liaison between the Marketing Department and outside POS vendor/warehouse system. Traffic all POS, create/validate sales allocations, create all on-premise specific programs with the guidance of the Senior Marketing Director.
Actively communicate with Field sales with e-mail blasts, FTP updates
Update Marketing Calendars and Brand Standards quarterly
Professionalize complex PowerPoint presentations. Create straightforward PowerPoints that communicate key brand selling points to Field Sales.
Communicate / Create POS from Competition Results including Press Kits, web content and POS
Work with Marketing Directors and CMO to help carve out on-premise marketing/advertising budgets. On a monthly basis, process invoices and report budget issues
Work with PR Agencies to execute Press mailings, including updating press kits, tasting notes, and accolades
Prepare for Sales meetings, customer visits and new brand launches as opportunities arise
Execute collateral and programming for respective brands
Liaise with sales to ensure proper communication for execution of programs
Develops and executes annual plan for consumer growth to achieve strategic and revenue goals of respective brands
Segments database and develops, executes, and monitors emails to different segments of customers
Conceives briefs, writes copy and executes digital and paper materials to support the brands
Responsible for ongoing social marketing initiatives to bring consumers to websites (Facebook, Twitter, Google, Local Wine Events, etc)
Oversees multi-media projects for the web and tasting rooms (kinetic art, web-cams, YouTube postings)
Oversees development and ongoing maintenance of online ordering system
Updates website sections as needed (updating vintage related information: tasting notes, descriptions, etc)
Oversees ongoing effort to grow consumer email list to generate long term revenue opportunities
Develops, executes, and monitors emails to consumer list
Analyze and track brand and competitors performance
Understand brand’s consumer and be their voice in product, packaging or communication development
Be a leader on the business by sharing ideas -- assist in the creation of brand positioning and communication strategies -- participate in the briefing process
Create and lead consumer/trade promotions, events and marketing programs
Identify and understand the drivers of an increasing and/decreasing P&L
Effectively manage product specific budgets

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree required.
Prior sales and/or marketing background with a wine supplier and/or a distributor is preferred.
Strong communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Experience with Adobe, Photoshop a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Some prior budgeting experience is preferred.
Highly organized project management skills
Self-starter who is also willing to seek input from others
Combination of agency and client side experience preferred
