POSITION SUMMARY
The Custom Brands Manager will be responsible for helping to manage the winery’s growing Custom Brands business unit, including control brands, private labels, custom bottling, export sales and related special projects. This position will report to the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, and work in coordination with the winery Marketing department and National Accounts sales team. The ideal candidate must be experienced, organized, creative and capable of juggling multiple projects at the same time. This position will based at our corporate office in Larkspur, CA and may require limited travel from time to time.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•  Coordinate brand development process for control label presentations, including naming, brand stories, package design, sales collateral, pricing and financials.
•  Once individual projects are sold in, oversee the creation of new brands from concept to finished packaging by coordinating the activities of creative consultants, Winemaking, Sales and Bottling.
•  Monitor sales data and trends; analyze and use business intelligence to present and pitch relevant custom brand programs.
•  Work closely with Marketing Department to create trade marketing promotions to support sales of important control label programs.
•  Provide key account management for private label only clients and winery direct sales (i.e. relationships where O’Neill sales team and distributor network is not involved).
•  Support existing custom brand programs with large retailers in coordination with National Accounts sales team.
•  Assist in the sales management of several export customers.
•  Liaison with Supply Chain, Winemaking and Bottling departments to provide production planning guidance for new and ongoing programs.
•  Miscellaneous sales operations administrative support functions including:
o Initial screening and coordination of trademark registrations for potential new brand names with winery law firm.
o Coordinate state product registrations for all O'Neill case goods SKU’s working with outside compliance firm (Compli).
o Generate UPC/SCC product codes and brand specifications for new projects.
o Special events planning and management including trade shows, tastings, conferences, etc.
o Perform other duties or special projects as may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
Accomplished and organized project manager who can multi-task and effectively prioritize and manage a large workload of long and short-term projects. A self-starter, go-getter and team-player who thrives in a fast-paced environment at a fast-growing company. Demonstrated track record in working well with others across multiple departments (both internal and external) to get things done. Strategic thinker who is detail-oriented and a good problem solver.

•  Excellent written and verbal communication
•  Project management acumen with experience leading creative development
•  Strong customer service mindset and professionalism
•  Strong PC skills, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project and Outlook

Experience/Education:
•  Bachelor’s degree required, Sales and/or Marketing emphasis preferred
•  5+ years wine or spirits marketing experience with consumer-driven commercial brands
•  Off-premise and on-premise national accounts experience
•  A passion for wine with demonstrated industry knowledge, including 3-tier distribution
