The Broad Market Representative is responsible for ensuring the execution of sales plans within assigned territory, Southern California, through a focus on Distributor team and key broad market account management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Degree (4 year) or related work experience
2. 5+ years of experience in a similar role (alcoholic beverage preferred)
3. Strong distributor / brokerage relationships
4. Good communication, business development and people management skills
5. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance with clean driving record
6. Willingness to travel

1. Regularly attend and present at Distributor team meetings
2. Establish and maintain relationships with broad market sales representatives and sales managers.
3. Achieve superior results at all levels of execution
4. Identify new key account opportunities and develop programming initiatives to grow distribution, shelf management and depletion activity
5. Assist business partners’ efforts by delivering effective sales presentations and programs, as required, that support achievements of company sales and merchandising objectives
6. Make comparisons to competition and the market environment as needed
7. Obtain appropriate distribution and share of business within assigned accounts
8. Develop and maintain sales contact with all major customers and new prospects
9. Present the entire portfolio and current programs to generate maximum dollar and case sales volume
10. Adhere to all federal, state and local laws and regulations governing the sale of alcoholic
beverage products in accounts
11. Achieve maximum efforts and results of company brands by our business partners
12. Build and manage influential relationships at all execution levels within all business structures
13. Develop consumer competitive pricing structured to provide targeted margin to company
14. Educate business partners on company history, product quality, programs, standards and market objectives
15. Develop programs to influence the consumer at the point of purchase to maximize the potential for impulse sales and brand loyalty
16. Maintain accurate records regarding distributor profiles, retail and on-premise distribution and competitive activity and pricing
17. Submit required reports promptly and accurately as directed by management and maintaining up to date market records as specified by management
18. Maintain adequate, well-organized inventories of sales tools and merchandising materials while following policies and procedures
19. Lead and execute sales objectives during marketing sponsored functions within the areas of responsibility
20. Assist in the communication process for all parties (marketing team/distributor) to ensure promotion success and targeted results
21. Stay within stated quarterly/annual budgets and anticipate potential budget deviations
22. Work to assess the need for budget revisions or exceptions and obtain necessary approval prior to exceeding the budget
