Position Purpose:

Under general supervision, the Human Resources Intern provides daily support, coordination, and project assistance to the Human Resources & Organizational Capabilities department. This position may also provide special project and administrative support to other Delicato Family Vineyards locations.

Essential Duties:

Coordinates schedules and calendars for candidate interviews, new hire orientations, development of on-boarding schedules, and other meetings as requested.
Assists with HROC special projects as requested, including, but not limited to, projects with the Talent Management and Total Rewards teams.
Provides support for daily, general HR functions as needed.
Collects and compiles data for various reports or audits and ensures that personal and team reporting deadlines are met; develops and generates new forms and reports as needed.
Assists with the coordination and delivery of HR functions and employee activities as needed; may serve as activity coordinator; functions and activities include meetings, training sessions, seasonal employee snack breaks, harvestfest lunch, etc.
Maintains records and monitors compliance with all relevant laws and regulations (including HIPPA); protects confidentiality of highly sensitive information, retains files (electronic/hard copy) according to federal/state regulations and HROC procedures.
Non Essential Duties:

Cross-trains to cover functions outside of normal scope of duties to provide depth in the department as needed.
Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience:

Associate’s degree in business or a related field preferred; however, some coursework and/or related experience will be considered.
3-4 years of related work experience; administrative support to executive and/or divisional group.
Valid driver’s license, appropriate automobile insurance coverage, and clean driving record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong computer skills, MS preferred (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation); effective writer with strong sense of grammar.
Ability to exercise discretion when handling highly confidential information.
Ability to work with diverse individuals and competing interests.
Thrives well under pressure and in a fast-paced, changing environment; a quick study whom catches on extremely fast.
Strong customer service orientation, highly professional and pleasant disposition.
Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize and assess what needs to get done, effective multi-tasker.
Effective team player, maintains a motivating and positive attitude.
