Position Summary:

The Field Quality Manager will be responsible for all finished goods quality related issues in the Western Business Unit within Constellation Brands Beer Division.  The goal of this role is ensuring the best package and flavor integrity through distribution and into the retail marketplace.  This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for our Gold Network wholesalers and retail accounts for liquid and packaging quality issues at the wholesale and retail level for both package and draught products.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Design and implement a thorough retail quality audit program to be implemented on a continual basis in a multi-state territory; this comprehensive retail audit should include package and liquid integrity, and proper product rotation as well as identifying and removing expired beer in the marketplace
•    Design and implement a thorough draught beer quality audit program to be executed in the on- premise marketplace; ensure the highest quality product is consistently being dispensed in the trade, identify non-conformities and troubleshoot with retail partners
•    Responsible for ensuring that all CBI Beer Division Quality standards and being met throughout the warehouse, wholesale, and retail segments; conduct training with distributors, retailers and CBI’s field sales personnel on all relevant aspects of post-production beer quality, especially in regards to properly storing, shipping, displaying, rotating and dispensing CBI’s beer products
•    Provide additional quality support for four regional 3rd party distribution facilities
•    Review and update policies and procedures regarding quality assurance programs as they relate to CBI’s wholesalers and retailers; define and refine the CBI field Quality program and responsibilities
•    Act as primary point of contact for field sales personnel as well as wholesaler partners for all product quality related issues within designated territory
•    Provide regular updates to the corporate quality organization related to issues and trends in the US marketplace as well as performance results for test materials and packaging changes; act as the front line and subject matter expert to quality related issues in the trade
•    Develop strong working relationship with wholesaler operations personnel in order to be relied upon to troubleshoot and ultimately solve product quality related issues and implement corrective actions moving forward

Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of three years experience in the beverage alcohol business, specifically in quality management
•    Knowledge of consumer goods packaging and draught beer dispense systems; sensory analysis skills preferred
•    Strong commitment to total customer satisfaction, and excellent customer relations building skills
•    Solid understanding of all post-brewery issues than can cause package and flavor integrity problems
•    Proven track record of design and implementation of a thorough audit program is highly preferred
•    Strong organizational and prioritization skills; excellent attention to detail and follow-through
•    Ability to identify and analyze problems, recommend and implement flexible and creative solutions based on customers' needs
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Must have a strong team and service orientation and be able to work well with all levels of internal and external business associates
•    Passion for and interest in beer and the brewing industry; extensive knowledge of the three-tier system for beer distribution
•    Self-motivated and ability to multi-task
•    Professional, positive, can-do attitude; high energy and strong work ethic
•    Must be proficient working with and utilizing Excel and Word (or comparable software) to design reports and maintain claims files; must have ability to develop proficiency in manipulating additional computer software (JD Edwards) for data extraction and analysis
•    Must be willing to travel domestically on a regular basis within designated territory
