Tasting Room Associate (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

Our tasting room in downtown Healdsburg offers a niche location and some of the best Russian River wines available. We are in search of one or two friendly, knowledgeable wine lovers to join us in our quest to spread the "Mueller" word.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
•  Ensure that visitors enjoy their wine tasting experience.
•  Accurately handle routine transactions, which include operating cash register POS (VinNow), accounting of daily sales.
•  Encourage guests to purchase wine, join wine club and attend events.
•  Maintain the cleanliness of the tasting room.
•  Open and close the business day.
•  Perform other duties as assigned by owners.

QUALIFICATIONS
•  Professional appearance and demeanor.
•  Outgoing, fun, creative and willing to go the extra mile.
•  Outstanding sales skills.
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•  Strong computer proficiency and data entry experience. Familiarity with VinNow a plus.
•  2-3 years related winery or restaurant experience.
•  Must be over 21, able to lift 50 lbs, and stand for extended periods of time.
•  Available to work weekends, some holidays and an occasional evening.

DETAILS

24 hours per week average (Friday through Sunday)
Hourly wage above industry standard plus incentives
