Security Officer (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Follows established daily routine for patrolling winery facilities, including main hallway, fermentation room, warehouse, barrel room, oak tank room, kitchen, and guest suites
Follows established daily routine for patrolling other facilities, including water tank and wood shop building, guest houses, upper and lower lake areas, and vineyards
Responsible for transporting overnight guests to town and back
Checks doors and lights; locks and turns off as necessary
Checks for water leaks of sinks and toilets 
Contacts maintenance as necessary
Checks water level of water tank 
Closes main and back gates 
Locks winery
Adheres to safety regulations and policies; reports any potential safety issues to supervisor or the Safety Coordinator

Education and/or Experience 
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of the job would qualify. A high school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Experience as a Security or Peace Officer is highly beneficial.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence 
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization 
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form 
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations 

Certificates, Licenses and/or Registration
Valid California Driver’s License is required
