Williams Selyem Winery is a leading producer of small-batch Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays, and Zinfandels located in the Russian River Valley. We are a team that is passionate about crafting exceptional wines that express the uniqueness of the extraordinary vineyard sites we work with.
We are hiring for hardworking, passionate, detail oriented and fun individuals to fill out our 2017 harvest crew. The Williams Selyem Harvest Interns work closely with the winemaking team and play a crucial role in crafting our wines. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing equipment, vineyard sampling, grape sorting, fermentation monitoring, wading tanks, punch downs, draining fermenters, pressing, barrel filling and racking, topping, tank and barrel additions, yeast propagation, forklifting and a healthy dose of pressure washing.
Ideal candidates will be positive, detail-oriented, hardworking and knowledgeable of cellar and winemaking practices but also willing to adapt and learn. We strive to form a diverse crew that works tightly together so being a team player is key. Forklift experience is preferential but not required.
The internship begins approximately early August and continues through early October. There is an opportunity to work for an extended period post-harvest depending on individual performance. Hourly pay rate is determined based on experience.
