Over the past three decades, MacRostie Winery and Vineyards has established itself as one of the Sonoma Coast’s defining wineries, and a leader in a bright, balanced and age-worthy style of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Where MacRostie has led—both stylistically and geographically—others have followed.
Our exciting new chapter begins later this year as we open the MacRostie Estate House winery and hospitality center. Perched above a stunning vineyard on Westside Road in the heart of the Russian River Valley, our new home will be a prime new destination on this storied wine road. A combination of world-class hospitality and remarkable wines will be our hallmark.

Purpose
· Lead a customer-focused tasting room team that aligns with the MacRostie brand plan, achieves sales targets and maintains a world-class hospitality experience
· Oversee all onsite and offsite consumer and corporate events
Manage the Assistant Hospitality Manager and all full and part time TR staff
· Responsible for growing business with established customers and developing business with new customers
Job Responsibilities
· Supervises the daily TR operations including opening and closing procedures, POS systems, cash management and management & replenishment of all collateral, merchandise and supplies
· Manage analytics and reporting for TR sales and wine club sigh up’s on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
· Manage all onsite events including: planning, logistics, staffing, execution and follow-up
· Manage all 3rd party vendor relationships (e.g. cleaning, event and catering companies)
· Ability to lead and teach all types of wine tasting experiences
· Assist in the strategy and planning for trade and VIP visits with Hospitality & Sales Director
· Assist in local outreach to key local partners (e.g. concierges, restaurants, wineries)
· Contribute to and deliver on team culture and engagement plans
· Make safety a priority and champion a safety culture with the team
Skills
· Strong communication skills- verbal and written
· Strong presentation skills
· Strong planning and organizing skills, ability to multi-task and delegate
· Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
· Proficient with winery POS systems
· Self-starter and ability to make decisions
Knowledge
· Knowledge of and passion for wine and the wine industry
· Bachelor’s degree
· Multi-lingual a plus
Experience
· Minimum 5 years experience leading a tasting room or hospitality team
· Event management experience
· Proven sales record and an understanding of inventory management
Other Requirements
· Weekend work required
· Able to lift minimum 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
