Grapewagon Custom Crush is a boutique custom crush facility located just a couple miles from downtown Healdsburg. We have 12 clients who crush between five and 50 tons each and the varieties of fruit we work with run the gamut from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, to Cabernet and Merlot, Old-Vine Zinfandel, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre, Sangiovese, Riesling, and Muscat, among others. We crush approximately 160 tons and the job will last from approximately August 1 to November 15.
Qualifications:
Positive attitude, open-mindedness, and eagerness to learn
Hard-working and LOVE to clean
Prefer at least one prior harvest
Forklift experience preferred
Affinity for good beer, food, and wine a plus
Responsibilities:
Fruit sorting and crushing
Juice racking
Punchdowns and pumpovers
Tank dig outs and press operation
Barrel downs
Cleaning and operating crush equipment
We are looking to hire two cellar interns. The approximate dates of work are the beginning of August to the middle of November but there is the possibility of starting immediately to help with bottling.
