Lambert Bridge is a small, family owned winery in the heart of the Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County, California. Nestled along West Dry Creek Road on the west slope of the Dry Creek Valley, the singular charm and appeal of Lambert Bridge is found in its magical setting, beautiful grounds and tasting area. With a production of just 7,000 cases annually, the winery is focused exclusively on the direct-to-consumer sales channel. We are currently seeking the right person with a passion for Bordeaux-family wines to join our dynamic winemaking team. 

Candidates for the Assistant Winemaker position would ideally possess a keen interest in all aspects of winemaking. 

Responsibilities: 
•  Assists in managing the day-to-day operations of production
•  Works directly with the Winemaker to develop practices and procedures
•  Actively participates in the organization and tasting of all wines
•  Creates daily work orders
•  Oversees daily cellar operations in conjunction with the Cellarmaster 
•  Oversees hiring of harvest personnel
•  Responsible for maintaining company safety program for winery
•  Participates in the development of the production budgets
•  Represents the winery at public relations/marketing events as needed

Skills:
•  Supervisory experience
•  Strong laboratory and cellar skills, 
•  Familiarity with vineyards and grape growing
•  Facility maintenance experience
•  Strong forklift skills 
•  Experience with WMDB or related wine tracking software 

Equally important, this person would also have a strong work ethic, stellar organizational skills, a positive attitude, inner drive, flexibility and be good at communicating with fellow team members. 

This job offers an amazing opportunity to become part of a hardworking, tight-knit production team excelling in making extremely high quality, small batch wines. Must have a B.S.in Enology, Winemaking, or related field and a minimum of four years winery and supervisory experience. They must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record, be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds and climb ladders and stairs. Extended hours are required during peak times of year, often occurring in a cold and wet environment. Fluency in English is required.
