The primary functions of the Logistics Administrator is to provide administrative and logistical support for the bond and DTC operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Administration: (60%)

  • Communicates with Customer Service on bond order releases and special requests
  • Prints pick tickets, Bill of Ladings and pallets count sheets for released orders
  • Communicate via email and phone with carriers
  • Schedule outbound loads with carriers
  • Email or call employees who have packages pending pick up
  • Email end of day outbound schedule, on hand report and finalized pick tickets and BOLs
  • Assist the Bond Logistics Coordinator as needed with shipments to and from Biagi, FCW and VDW West
  • Maintain a filing system for shipped pick tickets and BOLs
  • Assist as request with performing transaction in WIMS, WMDB, RMS, ShipCompliant and bLoyal
  • Assist with routing requests to specific DC departments
  • Update metrics utilizing Microsoft Excel
  • Support Sr. Distribution Center Logistics Coordinator by communicating via email and phone to both internal and external customers
  • Support Sr. Coordinator Distribution Center with routing requests

 Operations and Logistics: (20%)

  • Assist DC staff with cycle counts both in Bond and DTC operations as needed
  • Coordinate the wine movement and distribution for monthly off the press and grapevine programs
  • Pick and pack outbound orders as requested
  • Move pallets and products utilizing pallet jack and/or forklift
  • Assist as needed with processing inbound shipments and receipts
  • QC outbound orders as needed

 Leadership: (10%)

  • Be a positive example in professionalism and performance to the warehouse team
  • Assist with training existing staff, newly hired associates and seasonal temps
  • Make suggestions for improvements in efficiencies and safety to your supervisor
  • Be the team resource for questions and concerns, and escalate when necessary

 Safety: (10%)

  • Maintain a safe working environment within the warehouse
  • Keep all areas in clean and orderly condition
  • Ensure process and procedures support employee safety
  • Lead monthly tailgate meetings as requested
  • Report any safety related concerns to your supervisor

Job Requirements:  

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma preferred and/or at least two years’ warehouse experience required, with experience managing inventory and coordinating high volume fulfillment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  Computer proficiency in MS Office. Experience with inventory software, UPS world ship, ShipCompliant and truck scheduling preferred

    • Experience with related warehouse safety procedures is required
    • The employee will occasionally need to move heavy equipment or stand on a ladder
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

    Work Environment:

    • Employees are required to wear closed-toe shoes with good support every day
    • Employees are required to follow company established uniform and presentation standards
    • Must work in environmental conditions that include, but not limited to:
      • Wet and humid environments
      • Indoor environmental conditions with temperatures ranging from 55F to 65F due to wine storage
      • Exposure to noise, fumes, dirt, chemicals, odors, waste and dust
