Maintenance Mechanic (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

Must be able to: diagnose, trouble-shoot and repair all production winery equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Must have five years' experience as a journeyman industrial mechanic with emphasis in electrical work.

Must be able to demonstrate a sound background with solid stated circuitry devises, show familiarity with the National Electric Code, and a good working knowledge of general electrical repairs/troubleshooting.

Must possess a working knowledge of PLC’s and related equipment (Troubleshooting and programming), Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems and Controls, and Refrigeration Systems (Freon and Ammonia)

Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics and be able to troubleshoot from them.

Must be able to troubleshoot electromechanical issues when they occur on the line including, but not limited to, installation, diagnosis, calibration, maintenance and repair of equipment and electronic devices.

Must be able to MIG, TIG and Stick weld.

Ability to diagnose and estimate time required for proper repairs.

Ability to change motors and wire for proper rotation.

Ability to read blueprints.

Must be a self-starter with the ability to conduct work with little or no supervision. Must be able to multi-task.

Must have a positive attitude toward his job and the duties assigned and willingness to learn, provide examples of demonstrative initiative.

Must maintain the work performance standards as set by the Maintenance Supervisor in order to retain the classification.

Set up and perform start up, shut down, and preventative maintenance.

Knowledge of all equipment operation and energy sources as related to safe lock out.

Must be able to work in confined areas.

Must keep required legible records.

Must be able to work any shift

Must be able to pass all applicable testing.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience, preferably in the wine/food industry

Blueprint Literate (mechanical & electrical)

Ability to work with Process Safety Management, HAACP, ISO and Plant Safety teams and programs

Ability to interact in a team environment
