Full Time Lead Tasting Room Associate
SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Tasting Room Manager, the Tasting Room Lead will assist in the day-to-day operations of the tasting room and serve as a liaison to the Tasting Room Manager. This position requires integrity and a passion for excellence in hospitality and customer service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following reflects general functions of this position but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

Communicate Tasting Room issues to the Tasting Room Manager

Assist Tasting Room Manager with managing the wine club

Assist in production of all DTC materials
-
Responsible for the wine shipments & packaging

Assist Tasting Room Manager in providing direction and leadership to tasting room staff through effective communication and enforcement of company policies and procedures, and department operations
-
Keep up to date on procedures, sales tips, event updates and other related information to aid sales and improve proficiency

Work with Tasting Room staff to manage the guest experience ensuring successful Tasting Room workflow and operation

Ensure opening and closing procedures are properly followed

May assist in Tasting room staff training and education

May give direction to staff and delegate responsibilities as needed

May resolve guest concern/complaints using good judgement and professionalism and courtesy.

Candidate must have a positive attitude and the ability to excel in a fast-paced atmosphere

Ability to sell our products

Must have an interest in wine

Stocking & pricing wine
-
Selling wine and wine clubs to meet tasting room sales goals

May be requested to attend special events outside the winery

Handle routine transitions and operating a cash register

Serving and a Telephone reception

Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Good written and oral communication skills

Strong attention to detail

Highly customer service oriented

Experience in hospitality, and customer service skills

Experience in tasting room sales or customer service orientated position

Passion for knowledge of fine wine and willingness to learn more

Valid Driver’s License

General knowledge of winemaking preferred

Flexible schedule, able to work weekends, holidays, and late evenings

Ability to lift 40+ lbs.

Must be 21 or over
Salary depends on experience, 35-40 hours per week, plus commission when working the tasting room bar, sick time, vacation & 401k after 1 year of service.
