Heringer Estates is family-owned, multi-faceted farming and winery operation. We are seeking a dynamic and talented Tasting Room Manager to operate our tasting room. This critical role is a member of the management team and is responsible for all tasting room retail operations, including development, implementation and management of sales and marketing initiatives, as well as activities directly related to consumer sales and marketing profitability. Responsibilities also include managing Tasting Room staff and creating memorable guest experiences to ensure exceptional customer service at all times.
Work Schedule:
· 40 hours per week, typically Wednesday through Sunday 9am to 5:30pm with occasional evenings and one weekend off per month.
· Ability to attend evening meetings once a month and work special events
Minimum Requirements:
· Minimum of 3 years related experience in hospitality or restaurant management, including retail sales and people management
· Passion for fine wines and the ability to effectively share this with others
· Wine industry multi-channel direct-to-consumer, tasting room experience and premium wines preferred
· Bachelor’s degree preferred, certificates in wine industry training programs and or marketing experience a plus
· Professional appearance and demeanor; strong organizational skills including time management and the ability to plan and coordinate work across multiple locations
· Ability to operate computer equipment and software necessary for retail operations
· Must have a clean DMV driving record and a valid driver’s license
· Ability to lift up-to 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time
