Clarksburg Wine Company is a custom crush facility just south of Sacramento. We work with almost two dozen varietals and up to seventy lots per year. This is an exciting opportunity to get into the wine industry, while remaining close to the Sacramento Metropolitan area.
Harvest Lab Assistant
We are looking for an individual that has prior experience in the wine making process, but are open to individuals looking to gain that experience. Some prior lab experience or education would be valued, though not required. Duties would include basic chemical analysis of wines, monitoring fermentations and assisting with the daily crush activities. If you are passionate about wine and a prideful worker, we would like to hear from you.
Seasonal Cellar Hand
We are also interested in individuals who would like to work in our cellar. A cellar hand is an integral part of the wine making process, helping to receive the grapes, transfer and rack juice, does pumpovers, inoculates tanks, adds nutrients to fermenting juice and helps keep our cellar spotless. If you would like a hands on job and appreciate wine, this is a great opportunity to explore what the wine industry is all about. If you have experience, this is a great chance to work with new and interesting varietals.
Serious and responsible applicants only! You will be working long days with few days off, but the experience of harvest is worth the reward. Harvest runs August through October.
